Question: In what scenario does USF end up in a worse conference? Would that mean SMU and Memphis get picked up and we get left behind or that we somehow get demoted to CUSA?

I voted worse conference.  USF has shown no history that they are capable of moving to better things.  USF has been passed by twice, I see no reason there won't be a third time.  There is a reason conferences aren't clamoring for USF, and frankly never have since the BE invite in 2003.  I voted worse conference, because it's possible someone, let's say SMU, may get called for a better conference, leaving USF in a watered down AAC or worse.

SMU is a small enrollment private entitled yuppie d bag school and has less interest then USF has by a mile.  If they move on and we don’t then I agree, fold the program.

I am pretty much in the same place as you. USF does not have what the bigger conferences need.

Trick question. We'll be in the same conference, but it will be worse.

The only way it gets worse is if any of the AAC 1.0 teams get picked off .....Are there any besides Memphis with a real shot?

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
