No lagoon... Take that investment and ensure that we have seatbacks and a nice game screen.

I don't see us getting a lagoon but probably a water feature ... Lagoon = Gator pond

Well, USF will spend $72.8mil on infrastructure and other capital projects system wide in the next 2-3 years. None of which is earmarked for the stadium.

Maybe this has been discussed, but reading a part of the ITN cover document...

USF is seeking to Contract with a experienced Design/Build entity for the construction of an approximate 35,000 person On campus Stadium on the Tampa campus for the USF Football program and the Women's Lacrosse program.

Seems odd to single out Lacrosse as the only other sport for the OCS.  I thought it was announced they would be playing in Corbett or was that just for starting and then they move to the OCS?  I really don't understand if that's the case,  500 to 1000 fans would look ridiculous in a college football stadium.  UNC the best team in the country only draws over 2,000 fans a couple games per year.

GO BULLS!

I was thinking this could be a funding move for some state $$$.

There is no state money specifically for this.

Title IX is a requirement on how universities support women's athletics -- including facilities ... by saying the new stadium will be used for both, then the construction money can be counted towards the balance of money -- that is it's not only for a men's program.

It's why the IPF is not a football-only facility.  Expect both soccer teams and possibly the baseball and softball teams to use it.  Football might have priority for scheduling purposes.

Effectively, this is really just an accounting thing.

Think it will be cool to be able to go to the USF OCS & watch lacrosse. Who knows how hard it will be for non season ticket holders to get tickets for USF football at the OCS. So it gives them an opportunity to be able to get inside OCS watching lacrosse
