That is not a given.  Again, SMU was a perfect example of the students attending the pre party but not going inside.

Unfortunately I too have a bit of experience on this topic. My daughter attended the Oviedo school during their 0’fer years. Yes, they partied their asses off and went back to the dorms at kickoff. And we all know how empty their stadium was. Then they started winning. The rest is history.

Lol. I’m definitely not saying it’s a waste. I’m just thinking about the reason behind this idea. If a stadium was enough to attract fans they wouldn’t be thinking of these interesting add ons.

It would be interesting to have been in on the brain storming session for that ... hopefully we're making a mountain out of a molehill with this discussion and they fully realize this makes no sense from a financial aspect.

I'd be shocked if this is actually happening. With building costs being so expensive this seems like another few million that could go into nicer scoreboards, cupholders/chairbacks, and things that actually go into the viewing experience.

Or even a slightly larger Club area to accommodate more people ...

If 2026 is the goal, then construction should begin some time in 2024.

The price point and the size seem really similar to San Diego State's stadium thats opening this year. Seeing pictures of that now that its almost completed has me completely okay with our stadium being a USF version of theirs. Lots of luxury seating and a lot of different seating levels like mentioned in the ITN. Nobody would mistake it for a high school stadium either like certain school's rust buckets

Also built so its expanded to up to 55k (now 35k with a lot of standing room)

Is SDSU's stadium all chair back seating? It does look like it from the picture.

Nice looking stadium. Seems like all fans would be close to the field, even in the upper level.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
