So who do you think QB2 should be. Remember, one shot to the ribs and Fortin was done.

Apparently Marsh.

I wonder if Scott and Trickett spoke to McClain prior to commitment and if not have there been talked with him since.

He threw 5 TD passes last year. If he's blindsided by us looking for an upgrade, this is on him more than the staff.

Didn't someone mention McClain was following him on Twitter? I'm have to believe the information was relayed somewhere along the way.

Didn’t say that getting Bohanon was uncalled for, BUT if you are going to talk about building a Program, a family, then having a conversation with your freshmen QB who was thrown into the fire and should be part of your future should be expected.

I'm thinking he may have had a conversation with all the qb's as a group in that regard, considering they weren't given the same chance GB was about their immediate future.

Family is wonderful for a program. However, I doubt 1) he had no idea this was happening and 2) whether we brought someone in or not, his job isn't secure off of last season. Look at the guy we brought in, he was the starter for the Big 12 champ and got beat out. Winning teams put the best players on the field, family or not. CJS isn't getting paid for warm and fuzzies. The new guy either beats Timmy out or he's better because of it having won the job. Either way, we're a better team today with the transfer. Blindsided was a bad word. I should have gone with something else. I don't think for a second CJS didn't tell him this was happening. I assume he's pissed, I hope he's pissed. But, he shouldn't be caught off-guard or didn't think this was a possibility.

Well, that’s a better response than saying Timmy should have expected it.

I would think that any coach worth a grain of salt would tell every player the same thing CWT told his players, “I am always looking to recruit someone to take your job.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
