The big difference in that video and the Jarren Williams one is the running ability. GB looks like the prototypical successful USF quarterback. Not saying the others we have won't be with experience so really don't want to lose them, but he looks it now.

Honestly GB looks like a Jalen Hurts level of athlete. They are roughly the same size, both have videos squatting 600+ pounds online, and I'd gamble Gerry's 40 time will look similar (4.59)

I hope Trickett is able to utilize him in a similar way. Watching his highlights from last year I'm surprised he had so few rushing attempts, if that Oklahoma game is any indication I think Gerry could scramble for 800+ yards in this conference.

They had 2 RBs that combined for 2,400 yards. They had a great offensive line and exceptional defense, so they played in a very conservative offense last season. It will be interesting to see what Bohanon can do in what I can imagine will be more of a wide open offense.

Yes they didn't run him as much since they had an amazing run game....cause 100+ yards vs Oklahoma is pretty impressive.

He really reminds me some of a taller version of BJ Daniel's.

A little bit late to the party, haha. I think the coaching staff knew they needed an upgrade at QB after the spring game; when they say there is big competition for the starting QB spot, that means they are all lacking what it takes. Timmy had a full year to improve and he regressed, by quite a lot; not saying he won’t improve, BUT…… I think GB is a major upgrade at QB for us. I don’t like to compare past QBs, but he maybe one of the 2 most talented QBs we’ve had here (I am a huge fan of Grothe, but I think QF was better and GB COULD be). If the defense improves, just having a QB that can make good decisions and not turn the ball over would help us win 4-5 games, but to have a proven P5 winner only adds more to it. I’m always reserved when it comes to transfers, but I am actually really excited about this. My expectations just went up from 4 wins to 7/8 wins. We still need to get better everywhere else, but QB has been a black hole for far too long and finally we have somebody who can play. Let’s just hope the coaching staff can bring it all together.

Do you think Marsh would beat McC for the starting job without QBGB coming onboard?

🤔 That is a good question. I lean to the "Yes" side on this thought. I think CTrk see's something in the kid

Yes but, he gets accolades since it is one hell of a walk from Tampa to Arkansas........😉

Seriously, I liked Fortin and was hopeful he would be our guy. I hope he does well over there and gets to show exactly what he has w/o injury.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
