He did more with less.  He was by far our most successful  coach.

At the end of the day the program did a terrible job in hiring the right people while ucf did not miss on any of their hires. That is the real difference.

I imagine the difference is that C-USA trophy which I think has dropped in value...

To each their own.  I will agree that Leavitt is/was the best coach that USF has ever employed.

Jim Leavitt did a phenomenal job building. He face planted in Big East conference play. I think he was too loyal to some inadequate coordinators during his tenure.

I would hope (there I go again with the Hope thing) that we are much improved this season and on the right track to excel. If we put a whooping on ucf this year at the least..that would be a sign of achievement for USF. Sure, would be nice to be a Winner again.
