Yeah, I'm more than a little worried about being priced out of club seating.

I'm almost priced out of them now.

Sounds like there are going to be multiple types of clubs.

Yes... the IPF was designed by HOK -- the pre-eminent stadium architect.  I would love it if they are the successful bid for the OCS... but I don't know if HOK does the build process.

HOK’s Sports + Recreation + Entertainment specialists design gathering spaces that build excitement, facilitate connections and leave fans wanting more.

I was thinking if that’s the case some “unofficial” conversation has been had to be had lol. Maybe a quicker process that way.

Michael Kelly did say today that architects (plural) were chomping at the bit to design the stadium.

My uneducated guess would be that come the September meeting, we'll have more "initial" renderings for each firm available, with details on what they can build for us and at what cost. Then they decide on firm and we tighten things up from there.

Design phase (I'm assuming) includes stadium (obvi), parking and other amenities around the stadium, traffic flow, etc. (all the things impacted by gamedays).

As bulloni said, MK seemed pretty adamant that they're on track for fall of '26, which is a change from "target date '26, could be '27", so I'm assuming the process behind the scenes is going smoothly.

I just find it interesting that the model has shifted from the Colorado St stadium (which was always my favorite), to UAB or SDSUs new stadium.

Agreed, but it still has a more “major” program look than the 44K bounce house. The way the SDSU stadium is laid out, it looks high quality and with it already having capabilities to expand, I’m good with it.

Hopefully we choose a design that emphasizes acoustics in terms of taking crowd noise down to the field like Autzen stadium in Oregon. Now I realize first we need fans for crowd noise to be an issue at all but I think if we can actually start winning some games we could get decent crowds again. The 2017 Cincy game had over 40,000 fans at Ray Jay so there is hope.

I think a big part of their stadium noise is that shade thing traps a lot of sound and sends it right back to the field. If we can add something similar that gives shade to the home side season ticket holders and home team bench, while offering no shade to the visitors bench or visitors section in the stands, and make it louder on top of it all that seems like a must.

Wow that is genius, and definitely "home field advantage."

I am just hoping there is a good standing section so the olds can get off our backs.
