I am actually agreeing with Trips on this one, not sure he could have said anything that would have been satisfactory.  He has to be embarrassed and humiliated, if he is not then he is numb to it all.  There really is nothing left to say except he will need to flip the roster again next year and hope for the best but expect the worst.  There is always next year, until there isn’t.

Although... apparently VPMK said at the press conference the contract extension was verbally agreed to after the 2019 CBI championship... and there were issues with getting everything signed because of COVID.  (Just passing along what I've heard, not sure whether I believe that explanation or not.)

Well we did UCF by 24 so this team is capable of pulling a rabbit out of its hat. As far as the extension is concerned its possible the revenue impacts of Covid may have led to Kelly needing to put it on the back burner until they had a line of sight to post-Covid revenues.
