TULSA, Okla. (January 28, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls travel to Tulsa on Saturday night for the first of two straight road games.

The Bulls enter Saturday's tilt looking for their first ever win over SMU while the Golden Hurricane are seeking their first conference win of the season and the end of a seven-game skid overall.

South Florida's early conference schedule has featured four games against the top two teams in the American standings (Houston and SMU).

Caleb Murphy continues to pace the USF offense with 12.1 points per game followed by Javon Greene (10.5). Jamir Chaplin is averaging 13.4 points over his last seven games and Jalyn McCreary is shooting 69 percent (22-32) over his last six outings.

Chaplin is shooting 56 percent (29-52) over six conference games to date and 37 percent from downtown (7-19) while Greene is shooting 38 percent (12-32) from long range in five AAC games.

Jeriah Horne is one of the top rebounders in the AAC (7/game) and he leads the Golden Hurricane in scoring (16.4). Sam Griffin is averaging 15.8 points per game. Both players are shooting better than 36 percent from three-point range.

The Bulls are 0-7 this season when losing the rebounding battle which will be a key factor in Saturday's affair. USF enters the game ranked 46th in the NCAA in scoring defense (63.6 ppg).

We are starting to get run out of the building.  This team is poorly coached and prepared.  Moss has no vision and is simply not good, Tchewa is second rate but better than Matos who has concrete shoes.  In a nutshell we are ******* garbage.

With the exception of the front half of the 2018-19 season its been a dumpster fire under Gregory.
