Maybe we can dream of being ranked, having winning seasons, beating the big programs, pulling off upsets, getting fans in the stands, getting national exposure, and making USF exciting once again. Cjl isn't coming back and cjs didn't deserve 3 more years. Yhe last 3 seasons have been atrocious and the last 2 were rock bottom. Cjs has a lot to learn and a lot improve on if he wants to be a successful  coach. All we can do is hope cjs isn't a talker and learns to actually coach some wins instead of cost us wins with terrible game management. We have a "better" recruiting/transfer class  and two new coordinators. I am tired of reading about all the excuses people give Scott. He is in year 3 it is time to stop praising this guy until he produces wins on the field.

And we're pretty tired of you pointing that out. Maybe if you just let it be. It's a pretty well know fact that when you start arguing/discussing things with people that their tendency is to dig in and defend.

Just a point of clarification. That’s twice you have said that CJS is talker or talks about wins instead of producing them. Never once have I seen or heard CJS as being “a talker” or promised something that is outrageous in terms of success. Indeed, his last interview (before the contract extension) he was very clear that he does not have a lifetime contract and that he has to produce wins.

1 FBS win and zero road wins in two seasons is inexcusable.  I hope he is the guy but two years of getting embarrassed on the scoreboard and costing us games that were winnable does not reward an extension. AT the end of the day what is done is done and this guy is our coach. Lets hope he succeeds and turns this "coach talk of building a winning culture" into reality.

Nobody enjoys being a Loser or being aligned with a Loser. Especially when you feel like you have a vested interest in USF football. It gets old very quickly. I'm tired of hearing, "oh USF what happened to them" and even, "poor USF what is going on there" Currently, we have what we have. Yep, lot's of Rah Rah going on and many one line motivator's but...CJS has his players, has his coaches, has 2 years under his belt and has no more excuses so...............................................................

He earned 3 more years for what results exactly? Convince me he deserves it with his on field performance.

The block feature on TBP has greatly increased my enjoyment of the dialogue here.

You are right.  Now where does the discussion go?

I agree with you on that. But CJS is not some braggart or talker about unrealistic aspects of the program. If you are pissed about the contract then turn your attention to Kelly.

Well he did say he was building  winning culture and I would hold him to it by year 3...

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
