My sources said that Todd Monken wanted to come here but CJS felt the pressure of this board whining about why he hadn’t hired anyone yet and couldn’t wait on him.

Nobody goes into coaching to lose. I imagine the past 2 years for CJS have been humbling/embarrassing. This Trickett appears to be an in-your-face type of players coach, I like that style. OC job or not, if Trickett thght this might be a one season gig, he prob would have opted to stay at WVU in the P5. Obviously, the legacy of CS-KB is public knowledge it would give a prudent person a pause moment. Sure, money$ but it isn't like were talking hefty bucks. UCF OC is a million-dollar guy. The new DC now an OC, this is our now so I will refrain from criticism and wait for the final product.

Watched it. He mentioned one name that was offered more money somewhere else. They also said that their whiteboard, that they made up with no inside information, did not have Trickett on it. My guess is that Trickett was NOT the only guy that was hungry and/or wanted the job. We'll see some in April and the rest in September.

Like a working interview? Kinda weird. But I guess if it happened it was like a step dad meeting the wife’s kids for the first time to kinda feel things out.
