Been hearing lots about Vaughn through the Spring & Summer. Expecting Cheney AND Gordon from Minnesota to be IMPACT Players.  Expecting this D coupled with Shoop to be MUCH better in 202

Ok Mr. Sease has a scholly now. I haven't seen him play but this gives me hope that he will be a productive player.

Listening to Coach Shoop's first camp presser, it sure looks like we can pencil in a starting defense - at least most of it. Your DEs are Tramel Logan and Jatorian Hansford; your DT/NT are Yates and Cheney; Boyles and Grier start at LB, your nickel is Will Jones, your corners are probably Daquan Evans and Aamaris Brown, and your safeties are Mekhi LaPointe and ??

Matt Hill I'd guess for that last one, he seemed to rave about how good of a fall camp he's been having.

Also noticed he mentioned he's identified some good blitzers in the LB and secondary. Hoping that means Boyles can return to 2019 form. with 10+ TFLs

I can live with that starting line up. We can go 3-4 deep on our defensive line and 5 deep on our linebackers if needed.

We'll see if they can get these guys in positions to make plays, but it would be hard to deny that the staff has done what would seem to be an excellent job of rebuilding the roster to create options - on both sides of the ball. It's the most depth we've had probably since Willie T's final year - and it may actually be better depth on the defensive side.

I think lack of depth has plagued us since even the CJL days. I remembered we would always start losing in the 2nd half of the season or couldn't finish out certain games.
