Scott mentioned Cheney and Hansford when talking about the dline improving. Couldn't find much on Cheney but found a lot about Hansford that makes me optimistic.

  • Played safety in high school. So probably has some great speed for 255 pounds.
  • Has 600 snaps of SEC play under his belt
  • https://mutigers.com/sports/football/roster/jatorian-hansford/7948 Click the "we played MOMENTS" tab on his player profile page here and watch that first video. The fact that he was in during crunch time against the Gators and burned their tackle makes me think he could be a matchup nightmare in the AAC

I figured Hansford would be starting at DE. I just don't see how the guy started in the SEC and can't beat out underperforming AAC players. I don't know much on Townsel but moving Grier to STAR and Gordon to MLB would be my move.

We have a month until BYU . . . really don't have any starters yet.

I have him or Jonathan Ross starting. Good thing about it is that they are good friends with each other so they can push each other in a healthy way.

I would think 1)Hansford 2)Yates 3) Ross lots of rotating if we are actually getting after the qb

If I didn't know who any of these dudes were, I would have just assumed Gerry was the starter out of this group. By the way, look at Byrum maybe a little bit over a year ago (2nd pic)  to now. Buddy has made an extreme transition since he arrived. I see why he was on the GRIT list. I applaud the hard work.

I see why you are so high on him, he has transformed his body, dude got thick.  I am starting to wear those green goggles again, I told myself not to fall for the hype but once again I am getting sucked in.

Seems he is out working  Timmy in the weight room which doesn't necessarily  translate to the field.  I don't see how GB doesn't win the job ,I am interested in who takes number 2. My money is on Marsh because he has an arm but Timmy may learn a lot under GB. Byrum is another interesting case.

Kind of selfish but I want to redshirt  Timmy and give him a year to learn and develop under GB.

Well we all do that but reality kicks in unless Scott surprises us.
