Lot of depth at DL and LB on paper, hopefully these transfers are an upgrade on the guys that left last year.

Optimistic about the secondary but someone needs to step up with Smoke Davis no longer on the team

Agree . . . unknown is our depth in the secondary.

Maybe we can put Grier at that position. Technically if he went to the NFL at 213, he would be a hybrid type of LB anyways. That way we can have all three of our best LBs on the field at the same time.

I was thinking about that the other day, but don't know enough to assess whether it's a real possibility,  Seems a potential safety in future...

We need to do something because Matt Hill at SS is a recipe for disaster.  Grier is not NFL caliber but he may be a good SS and more suited for this than LB anyways.

Wouldn't be surprising, I remember he lost weight last offseason. Could realize thats his best path to the NFL. He's very dynamic regardless so I'm glad we have a dcoordinator that doesn't try to peg round pieces into square holes
