I heard a contractor say he's waiting 8-10 months for windows. Hell, I've been waiting on Lazy Boy chairs since last November.

Said I may be a bit more put out than I should.  But, they said from the beginning they would start when the season ended (which for all intents and purposes ended by the end of Sept).  And once they started there did not seem to be any serious delays in progress.  So while I know the supply chain issues are real (have been told I'd wait a year for a car if I ordered it now) that does not seem to be the issue here. Progress has been steady once the process started.  I feel badly for the kids that bought into the IPF sales pitch and really don't want to hear that lost time in practice sessions caused us to lose any games this year.

View from the inside. There is still a bit of work that has to be completed, but we're almost there.

They have reached the other end of the IPF on the West side. Still have another couple of support pieces to put in on the East side to reach the South end. They are really moving quickly.

You really do seem to be. When they started right after the season was over (not bothering to comment on the "over in September stuff"), they said it would be ready before this season. Do you think Simmons told them it wouldn't be ready then but USF went ahead and lied about that in their "sales pitch"? Not really sure of the angle here .....

I was talking about the sales pitch to the players. I was at the ground breaking and they had me convinced it would be ready for this season.

That's obviously what they were told by the builder. It's a good life lesson for the players, things don't always go as planned.

 ..... and if the players are feeling a little down about having to wait just an extra couple of months for a nice ipf, someone should tell them the tale of the trailers and practicing by car headlights.

I can't see the field from where I am at. Today should be a walk through with meeting and then they lift/run.

Their practices this summer are scheduled to be in the morning, like last year and prior years.
