Mine as well. Backyard is dirt, cat ****, and weeds. Thankfully for me, I don’t have an HoA. Unfortunately for me, neither do my neighbors.

I was President of our HOA for a number of years. Most thankless volunteer job in the world.

This is very accurate.  Years ago, I was tricked into being the treasurer on our board.  People would show up at the meetings and complain about everything.  They'd bring backup and research with them to support their opinions about visible basketball goals, trampolines, and sheds.  They'd accuse us of "not doing our job."  I'd say:  "I think I'm certainly earning my salary at this job which is absolutely $0."  But yes, they wanted us to be "the cops" and go and confront any neighbor they had an issue with.  

Ring Ring ring-- Me "Hello."  Resident:  "My neighbor's tree is hanging over my yard."  Me "Cut it."  Resident:  "But he should have to pay for it, or at least we should split it."  Me:  "Why don't you try speaking with your neighbor?"

Absolutely insane.  Don't let anyone trick you into "serving" on an HOA board.

Great picture! I wonder if the OCS will sit north-south or east-west? The open space looks to be east-west. Which means absolutely nothing. Can’t wait!
