The excuse of "we only have ## guys on defense" just doesn't wash for me... the 2nd and even 3rd string might not be as talented, but they certainly couldn't do that much worse.  Players have to be put into a position to learn and grow ... and that did not appear to happen.

I do not fault the players for the overall picture.  A missed tackle here, a bad angle there . . . those are mistakes that happen.  But coaching should be able to work on those and reduce the mistakes.

Next season we have some incoming transfers and recruits that might help bridge the talent/skill gap... but if we have the same coaches, I don't know how much improvement there will be.

100% spot on...I'm sick of the excuses by Soencer...the talent on defense is actually vastly underperforming....because of him...he has to go...

You saw the difference to start the second half anyways when he finally decided to bring some pressure!!! Tulane qb has been rattled all year when under pressure, we didnt even try until start of second half…..that said the offense was putrid today as well

If the DC couldn't figure that out till 2nd half he needs to go.

If he is back we are looking at a 3 or 4 win season.

Same. Honestly, I thought we had this one. I missed the game due to a funeral and I'm not even sure I want to watch the recording. I just don't understand what happened to the team.  Looking at the box score, I'm just shaking my head. I don't get it.

Bad coaching, bad recruiting, atrocious player development, using terrible schemes on offense and defense that do not fit the players on the team.

I think we fire him, but some on the board seem to think 1 FBS win in 2 years is enough.
