The defense shows the results...we should NEVER lose a game when we score 42 points...

I agree it is definitely the weakest link.  Special teams is somehow amazing.

I was thinking at the game if either the defense could get a few more stops a game or our playcalling wouldn't go full moron in sections, we would have won 3-4 more games this year.

Do you not account for the short field special teams/coaching gave their offense almost every series???  I’m no fan of the defensive performance but you can’t lay this loss solely on them…

I thought that was on purpose to avoid the returner.  Eventually we kicked it deep when he got injured.  Did I imagine all that?  I didn't have the play by play in the stands.

All we need is an "average" defense. We would be bowling this year if that was the case.

So the plan was to kickoff to the 40 every time.  Ok, and that’s not a problem

Yeah it is that close.  I can feel when we are two posessions behind that we won't be able to keep up.  Then somehow we do because the team has the fight in them.  But then eventually we are one possession short somehow.  Every game lol

It is maddening for sure. Looking forward to the last two games (not for next though 😁)

barrington kindly insinuating that coaching lost us this game...

As they do most weeks, the coaching staff is garbage and it starts from the top it’s really that simple. Like my grandfather used to tell my mom when she would get mad at me not behaving, “it all reflects management, Lin”. CJS has picked the staff, CJS has picked a large portion of the players, CJS picks the game day decisions, CJS decides the time outs, CJS makes the borderline decision and in every aspect he comes up wanting. He is trash and that’s why every aspect of the program is lacking. I miss CCS at least there was hope that one day he would care and it would make a difference, the sad thing is CJS is actually trying and failing in every single aspect of his job at least he gets it honestly.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
