The only way it would ever be solved would be for all of the other school to make a massive class action lawsuit against the current setup

But most of the schools are too busy backstabbing each other to get to "P5" , or resigned to their fate (Sunbelt schools that sustain themselves with "P5" money games), add to that the current corruption and back end dealings with legislators who are alumni/donors/otherwise affiliated with the "P5" schools, for this to ever happen.

^ This caste system wouldn't be so obnoxious if P5 only played P5. But they play G5 and count those games as every bit a "win" as conference games.

So, G5 teams are good enough to pad P5 records with wins (satisfying their alumni and boosters), but not good enough to have equal access to NYD bowl games?

You're right that schools are too busy trying to get a golden ticket into P5.  Too bad no one seems to be interested in calling out the P5 on this BS.  Maybe we need a revolution in CFB...

I don't know about a revolution, but my guess is that you'll see an uproar from those left behind once realignment is final and done for good.

Right now, it would be a big mistake and akin to dropping out of the race to get into a P5 if a school was to call out the P5 in this process.  Wouldn't do anyone any good to do that.

^ Yup.  That group would have to include schools with no reasonable prospect of getting into a P5 conference, but are still FBS level.  Time for Western Kentucky and Buffalo to start throwing their weight around...

Well, Probably not realistic, but I have always advocated playing a power struggle game against the P5 with Basketball as the weapon.  There are a lot of great basketball programs that are not in the P5.  If they don't want to play nice and share, then don't play them in basketball or other sports.  16 teams after the first round of the NCAAs were non P5 teams (I didn't include all 64+ teams because there are some automatic qualifiers that are just marginal).  Let them try to fill out a full schedule in any other sport besides football.  Can it be done?  Of course, but I think the level of overall play would be down and I think seeing the same teams match up would be boring.

This would never get any traction for any number of reasons, but it would be one form of leverage the rest of the Universities would have over the P5 schools.

Federal government needs to stop worrying about transgender bathrooms and start destroying the P5!! As O said before he took office, to throw his weight around to create an equal playoff. Give everyone a fair shot!

Funny, we never complained about this when we were in the Big East.  We liked the caste system then.  And if we get into B12, we'll like it again.
