Harlan has good relationships within the B12.  Judy had an important chair position on the NCAA. Politically we are positioned as well as any school  g

Emailing Harlan and the administration is a total waste. Put your energy into promoting season ticket sales.

Contacting the administration is definitely not a waste.  Why do you think there are things like boycotts and petitions.  So that someone (in this case USF) can see how important this is to the general public (in this case the USF fan base).  I get it...they know it's important.  But we've heard nothing, and maybe they need a little prodding at this vitally critical juncture...at least so voices are heard on this matter.

Our fan base is as good as anyones outside of BYU.  We had several years running of 50K fans when we were winning.  None of the candidates other than BYU average more than 40K or so on a yearly basis.  UCF averaged 30 last year.  Cincy's stadium holds 40.  UConn draws flies to games.  Memphis attendance was good the past year, after years of bad attendance.  Houston struggled to fill their 40K stadium in their best year ever.

Forgive me for trying to get our voices heard rather than sit back and watch USF athletics die.  Sorry for trying to be proactive.  I guess I'll just sit on my hands and watch from now on.  What a terrible idea that was.

There was an article in TBT this week. The numbers last year were that we averaged 26,000 or so while the worst big 12 team (Kansas) averaged 27,000. The other negative was percentage of student fees toward the athletic budget. We also have a pretty low athletic budget  

The question the decision makers will ask is what we can do for them. If they look at what can be then our chances are improved. If they look at just numbers on the paper the last couple of years it will be difficult.

Coming off the worst stretch in USF history, we had the lowest attendance in history.  We've proven that if we are even mediocre for an extended period, we'll average at least 35-40K.

Attendance will top 40K this year on average (thanks is some part to the large FSU crowd).
