1) The Big 10 has said more than once that had Nebraska not been an AAU member, they would not have invited them.

2) Nebraska got the shaft. The AAU said their medical school didn't count towards the university and agricultural research isn't given much weight by the organization. Shocker, Nebraska has a ton a research tied up in farming.

Although true, IMO I can see this as the last chapter that academics means much in conference affiliation. CFB has turned into a greed fest and is losing all of the foundations that made it great (rivalries, pure-amateurism, integrity).

With all that said, I still get excited every football Saturday and hope for the best

I'll give you rivalries and pure-amateurism, but integrity was a pipe dream even 100 years ago.

Yeah, I guess it is just a primacy bias. It just seem like so many scandals, violations, and arrests lately
