If it is Cincy and UCONN is not feasible due to distance, and Memphis is not feasible due to academics, one program will be disappointed between USF and UCF.

From a few weeks ago:

i think no one will know until they know, but expansion is appearing more and more likely. I do see that academics and research seem to be on the table as part of the decision making process, but I'm not sure how much that will weigh in the decision.

So glad that Judy got USF's research moving in the right direction.

With 3 of the other 4, P5 conferences at 14, it probably would be foolish not to go ahead and go to 14.

That makes sense but I can see the Big12 saying lets go two for now and if we need two more later we can always get them (AAC and MWC teams are not going anywhere) without sacrificing income for the league members. In many ways the AAC is nothing more than inventory at this point.

Yes, but if you were a school like Iowa State wouldn't you want 4 schools as a safeguard against Texas and OK leaving?

True, but how much legitimate power does ISU, KSU, etc. really have? They do what Texas tells them to do. I am not even sure OU wants 4 new teams.

Collectively they might have some.  I think that is the only reason they would add four.  I guess we will find out.

Disagree.

One of the big issues the B12 has now is how WVU is on an island.

They are not going to try to fix that while creating the same exact problem

You are dreaming of you think they are adding 4 teams.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
