I agree but IF they do disband then I don't think the conference will be viewed as a P4 type conference without their top 4 teams

Although it's fun to entertain the thought of how a P5 conference might fold, I agree they stick around indefinitely.

Actually I am not so sure. FOX had been wanting the BIG 12 to get into the Florida market. Big 12 has failed. They also lost out on LVille. They are not run by the brightest people so I expect them to fold one day.

Are there any links/evidence Fox wants in FL? I have looked but can't find anything. Is this just a rumor?

I think the way the world works we could see 4 16 team conferences just to make negotiations easier for espn.  Big12 is the weakest conference in numbers.  Imo this could happen in 2018 or they could add some teams and the playoff could be expanded to accomodate 6 teams and espn could profit more this way.  I think these scenarios are realistic.  Whatever espn thinks will make the most money.

The proftitability and ROI that ESPN achieves leading into the next round of negotations is going to have a pretty big influence on the next stage of realignment.

Not my favorite brand....in fact rarely ( Hilton very very very very  frequent stayer) ......so I think it was due some extra brain food yesterday, possibly sipping the  several almost frozen tequila's last night in the jacuzzi. Yep, that is what generated the wise words, and a little bit of a fuzzy wake up as well. #WorthItThough  Have a great Saturday USF Bulls fans.

Texas is calling the shots. As long as they have the Longhorn Network there will be no Big 12 Network and thus no reason to expand into other TV markets.

When the B12 schools see what the Pac schools and the SEC schools are raking in  ($$$$$$$) ....OU and UT may get an offer or two....and if they leave, the B12 goes poof, in a New York minute IMO.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
