Just WIN baby!

Probably need to have one of these reminders on every page of this thread. Without Ws, any argument about moving up is toothless.

More ambiguity about the B1G move. Looking forward to next week to see what the **** is actually going to be voted on and in how many votes.

Agreed.

This article changes everything I heard about the vote.

Now it says that the vote is to deregulate conference setups COMPLETELY.  In that now conferences can have multiple (3+) divisions and you no longer need to play a "complete" conference schedule at all:

  • "...if the vote passes, league scheduling will be deregulated, meaning league teams will not be required to schedule all of their brethren"
  • "It would also eliminate the requirement to have a round-robin style of play to its conference schedule, which, according to the league, would allow for more "preservation of non-conference rivalries.""

So does this basically mean a team's conference schedule can be just 2 games, and then the rest all OOC games? Is this to get the ACC's vote in an attempt to swoon Notre Dame?

Everything I read before was just mentioning two votes:

  1. Remove the requirement for divisions (to allow the B12 to continue its round-robin scheduling)
  2. Have a CCG with 10 teams

And If vote #2 fails, vote #1 could still pass.  Meaning that the B12 could just set up two 5-team divisions and have a CCG without the need to expand.

Been hearing that the P5 is contemplating a proposal to just put Alabama and Notre Dame in the championship game every year, no matter what.

Actually read something that said if deregulation passes, that the ACC "may" allow ND to play for the ACC CCG...

I wonder why ND would want that?

Would we then be able to play for the Mountain West championship sometimes?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
