Are academics are improving and if we make the right moves we won't be scoffed at during expansion time.  I am still not all that interested in the Big 12 but even I am not stupid enough to want to pass on the money it would bring in.

made me laugh... :roflmao:

OK, I get it now.  Come on!!!  It was a typo!

If it makes you feel any better I only went to USF for my Masters.  Rutgers taught me everything I know about grammar.

Good to see us in the discussion again...

I think we were always in the discussion.  While winning helps everything.  If you read the article closely, you realize that it only mentioned us because of location.  Our win total might actually be completely irrelevant in the Big 12s alignment plans.

Wowza.  Buttgers and USF?  You must have needed several seasons of therapy during those games.  What did you do, root for the home team?

Rutgers wasn't much to root for when I attended in the early 90's.  The tailgates were awesome though (on campus).  As a student we would linger in front of the keg and stroll in around 5 minutes into the 1st quarter.  One game we were down by three touchdowns when we got to our seats.  We didn't even sit down, we went back to the keg.

I switched as soon as USF created a team.  Yes, it was a home team kind of decision and I don't even visit their boards.

Yes, just like Rutgers and Maryland's on field performance was irrelevant to the Big 10.  Winning helps but there are a lot of moving parts.

If the Big12 cared about wins they would have kicked Kansas out years ago.  It's their hoops team that keeps them there.

I was thinking of WVU but good point.

Anyway, here is an article you guys will like very much.

If the Big 12 did expand by two teams and went to two divisions and went to a championship game, what would they be? What should they be? – Bill C

TV money is the key, as it's all about money. I think the State of Florida and our TV market make our chances pretty good for the Big12. Surely, they want a foothold in Florida, if it's about TV contracts.

USF needs to be good

The next round could see TOP AAC teams leaving to the P5

Hopefully, we are the ones

U of Houston has tied the possibility of conference realignment into Hermann's contract.

I think this is a pretty interesting contract and sets the base line for AAC coaches and programs that want to get to the next level. Good for Coach Hermann for wanting to stay and build Houston, good for Houston and good for the conference.
