Irrelevant

They are a founding member of the conference which formed 80 years ago

Conferences, heck CFB was completely different back then

other schools have been dropped from conferences for nonperformance, and they underperform consistently in the sports that matter. Does being a founding member give you a pass?

SEC could care less about their athletic performance they like Vandy because of their academic standing.

Some tv exec in a suit is going to make the decision when they assign a market value to each school during renegotiations with the biG12. In my opinion.

Vandy is arguably the best overall school academically in the South. Academic prestige apparently does matter.

OSU lost yesterday. It looks more and more like the B12 is going to be left out again this year. Also, OU's starter QB got hurt, including a bunch of starters, which doesn't bode well for them against OSU. The B12 is not going to have a flag bearer, so it's going to get left out again!

Can you say, "Expansion!"?

Oklahoma will be in the playoffs, it's the PAC that will be left out this season.

God's Team sneaking in could mean that 2 P5's are left out .... this is going to be fun to watch.

B12 getting left out again would definitely the best thing that could happen for the cause of further expansion.

We are beginning our football resurgence at a good time. Whether everything else is what a new conference is looking for. Who knows?

Agreed if the B12 gets left out again it would help something happen.  Not sure what the something is though.  Could be a playoff game approved for their 10 team league which would schedule their top 2 teams against each other and the winner will clearly go way up in the polls.  The AAC is trying to rewrite the rules so their CCG is against their 2 best teams, not the best of the Coastal vs best of the Atlantic.

Other thing that could happen is the playoffs went from 4 teams to 6 teams with each P5 team being guaranteed a spot for their conf champ and the last spot would go to a G5 team ranked in the Top 10.  If no G5 champion is ranked in the Top 10, the last playoff spot would go to the highest ranked P5 NON Champion.

All of the above scenarios suk for us.  Best thing would be B12 to go from 10 to 14 members and take USF and the losers to the northeast

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
