Performance on field.

As we've spoken of before, fortunately that is rarely the deciding factor.

If a decision were made today, it would be UCF, partially due to their recent success including the win over Baylor.

 

 

No it would not.  It would be USF over UCF.  Performance in a single sport is not the deciding factor.

USF has had their three worst seasons in football that happened to coincide with the three best seasons for UCF.... UCF has a 0-17 streak and USF has made it to #2 in the nation.... It you look at the last decade of football, you can see that USF is the better program.

 

But conferences don't look at "what have you done for me lately" -- otherwise why aren't Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Syracuse still in the American?

 

Conferences care about bigger picture... for the most part, both schools are fairly even...   It's not like we're comparing USF to UWF... the schools are close... but I think USF has the overall edge.

 

Oh... and UCF named George O'Leary as AD.  That alone tells you they don't deserve an invite.

UWF starts football in 2016. And the baseball team would smoke USF most of the past decade.

We can only pray that the conferences decide they want to move before they get a new AD. I'd guarantee no one is going to approach AD O'Leary about moving in up their conference.

I sure hope you guys are right.  It doesn't seem that many outside these parts agree agree with those assessments.
