^^^

That wins every time.  :)

I'm not being cynical.  I'm trying to be realistic.

When we got selected for Big East, we were a Cinderella story with recent success playing in an NFL stadium.  We had exhibited dominance over UCF in Basketball.

They were a bad football experiment, slumming around the MAC and elsewhere.  They had no facilities, playing in the dilapidated Citrus Bowl.

Times have changed.  They are winning.

I hope those at Fowler are realistic too.

Brad:

I agree with your realistic assessment. It's a fact. My question for you is: have you lost hope that we can come back, or do you think we are destined for eternal mediocrity and irrelevance like Balls Tate?

Good question.

The deck is more firmly stacked against us after having taken such a fall amid the shifting terrain of college football.  I remain hopeful.  If I had to bet we were going to be a P5 player or akin to Balls Tate, I'd guess the latter.  On the bright side, those that clamored for a conference crown may well celebrate an AAC title one day.

Balls Taint only has 20k students. We've got close to 50k and we are growing. Only thing those chumps have is Letterman.

TIA is the bomb yo. At least compared to the never ending, cramped, filthy hallway of Hartsfield-Jackson. Haven't been to the airport in Orlando in a long time but Tampa is open, clean, and you can get where you need to quickly. And I like chilling at Shula's before a flight.

We need to be prepared for the worst.

Do we prefer the Kirk Cameron version of Left Behind, or the Nicolas Cage version of Left Behind?

Agree on almost all points, except I prefer chilling at the Columbia before a flight.

TIA is probably the best airport I've been in. Orlando's not terrible, but isn't even on the radar for top 10.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
