At the end of the day baylors and tcus out of conference schedule did them in period

No it didn't. Losing to WVA did Baylor in. If either had been undefeated they would be in over Blowhio State.

Okay if we are going to go apples to oranges.  Why does a one loss Ohio State jump a one loss Baylor?  Virginia Tech and West Virginia are pretty much the same. IN effect you are already saying their is tier within the P5 . SEC, BIG 10, PAC12, then ACC and Big 12.  A one loss ACC team is not getting over a one loss in the other conferences unless it was a big time Out of conference foe.

12 wins is better than 11?

People seem to disregard that the committee was likely hesitant to put Ohio State in the top 4 the previous week considering that their starting QB went down with a season ending injury.  So, they were held back slightly and still neck and neck with TCU/Baylor.  Ohio State didn't just stomp a ranked Wisconsin team, they proved they were still good enough with their back up QB.

Good point.

the first three were pretty clear, and the second three were pretty clear. What wasn't clear was the 123 order and the 456 order, but the perception gap from 3 to 4 was the big one, not the gap from 4 to 5, although the 4-5 gap was the big one financially

The 12th win is immaterial.  Miss St was going to get in with one loss.

maybe for an SEC team but not anyone else. I still think they would have been jumped though. not playing vs blowing out a top #12 team in conference champ game means a lot.

can't say for sure about miss st....and how can you say a 12th win was immaterial when everybody who is in has at lease 12 wins?

Okay lets play chaos theory. Ohio St loses. Baylor wins. TCU wins.  Does a 2 loss team jump them?

doesn't matter because it didn't happen, but so your saying you have baylor and tcu both are 11-1 and ohio st is 11-2? in that case, no, I don't think ohio state jumps them.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
