Big 12 may just be starting to study things now. It will be at least one more full football cycle to see how things play out.

When the time comes to be makong a serious run at a new conference I hope Higgins is part of that prrsentation team. He has done a great job of selling the Tampa Bay area for bog events. No doubt he can be a powerful ally in presenting USF.

I don't like to quote yoda because I think he is full of it but he is telling the truth about some of the stuff that been repeated on our board since the summer.

"UCF better in every way than Memphis. BUT Memphis has a benefactor ready to write checks. This crap has always been about $. Sucks for UCF."

My point is, Memphis brandished this FedEx money when the Big East was searching, and we passed. They presumably did it when Big XII needed to replace TAMU and Missou. They passed.

Why are they repeatedly getting passed if this money is so valuable???

Bowlsby has already said that not having a championship game is "not the right reason to add two more programs" to the Big XII. This is all speculation.

Big 12 memvers are still getting huge payouts because they split their pie into 10 slices instead of 12 or 14.

They really don't need to expand at this point in time. They just need an undefeated team or for one of the other conferences to have a top 4 team lose their championship game.
