Might want to look up the Grant of Rights deal.   Know way Fsu, Clemson, Louisville, Va Tech, Miami or anyone is leaving the ACC for the forseeable future.   On a flip note why would they?

 

 Basically, any school which wants to leave the ACC will not be able bring over any TV money to its new conference – until 2027. It removes the incentive for a school to leave – it would be forfeiting all television dollars for a period of years.

So let's do math. If #ACC grant of rights is 15 years, a school leaving the league would forfeit about $300 million.

How much $$$$ is being national champions worth? Especially when you win it every ~10-15 years. I imagine it's not unreasonable to get a yearly value in another conference which is higher and equals out, but without the requirement of going to the playoff constantly.

FSU is undefeated but falling behind teams with one loss in the playoff picture because of this "easy" schedule.  A couple of undefeated teams in other conferences would knock them out of the playoffs even if they were undefeated.  

 

Easy isn't always good.  The Big 12 is going to have the same problem.
