Stadium will be built on campus before AAU status is attained.

I would definitely bet on an OCS before AAU.

AAU status isn't going to be a factor if a conference determines that a school is going to help them make more $$$.

Wrong.

AAU is absolutely a factor for the B10.  I can't speak for the other four, though.

Can't believe how many times this has come up.

And these are just minimum guidelines.

The REAL process is akin to getting into Fremasonry, etc. You must be seen as "one of the boys" and be invited by someone who already has convince a majority to vote for you.

Until we have someone who will "go to bat" for us, it doesn't matter what our stats are.

And I suspect the Gators will block us even if someone was willing to nominate us.

My guess is we will NEVER be invited as long as UF is a member.

Factor?  Yes.  Dealbreaker?  No.

Nebraska proves it.  They lost their designation 3 months before they officially joined the B10.

Nebraska adds value to the B10.  That's why they are there.

Problem now is, there is no one outside of the P5 that would make sense for the B10 to add.  This is the real issue.

There was no way they could have pulled their invite at that point so I'm not sure how much proof that is. The unanswerable question is if they would have been invited without the AAU designation at the time of the invitation.

Big 10 is on record saying they would not have extended the invite.
