We need the state houses in VA and NC to get their affairs in order NOW before any of these new teams set foot in the BE. Otherwise, we'll be forever linked with these southern tier schools and get left behind in future shuffling (behind even Temple).

we are a funny bunch, we complain about Big East being a reconstituted Conf.USA and are upset at that, but we will happilly move to a reconstituted Big East in the ACC.

I suspect that decisions have already been made on the Big East to ACC teams, and they've informed Aresco of their intention, which prompted these moves. What we don't know is whether and to what extent the Big 12 is involved in these discussions, such that the ACC may take more teams than we know about (e.g. including USF).

I also suspect that the ACC would rather have Navy than Cincy because Navy at least has a national following. Again, this isn't just about competitiveness, because Cincy (and incidentally, USF) is clearly superior in that regard.
