Bold prediction.  One Collective Outstanding year for Football (10-2 or better) and basketball (25 plus wins) and we are in.

That is bold. I think we're heading that direction if we can keep the recruiting and keep the coaches, but I think it's a few years away and still a lot to prove along the way.

Flavors of the week. This is status quo, the "hot" team will always get the attention for realignment purposes. As soon as anyone had a losing season they are forgotten.

How mighty Boise was for the underdog five conferences, but with a "mediocre" 8-5 season they are forgotten.

Then you have the UConn realignment articles right after basketball. It is what it is.

Which is exactly why it is crucial for us to win RIGHT NOW to have even a slim shot at an ever-closing window of opportunity.  (Was more important 2 years ago, but we blew that obviously.)

Awwwww, this WVU-centric author simply wants some playmates for his beloved Mountaineers. How cute. :D Whatever it takes to get out of the AAC, as long as it happens.

Seriously though, I do miss the neers coming to ray jay. It always had a good atmosphere. If we had a game against UCF and WVU it would be good for attendance because both teams bring people to Tampa.

As for football, UCF is currently the hottest athletic program in the G5. The Knights are coming off a 12-1 season highlighted by a Fiesta Bowl win over Baylor. UCF also has a relatively new stadium (opened in 2007) was built to be easily expandable. USF is coming off a 2-10 season, however the program has shown potential in the past.

This is just embarrasing

And they will have a down year or two in there future.  Every program, FSU, Floirda, and Miami have turned to garbage at times.

I laugh at how a few years ago wins didn't matter, it was TVs.

Now UCiF escapes a bunch of cupcakes and suddenly they're hot.

The reality is UCF is now a nationally known brand. Get used to it and get a life.

Says the guy on a rival schools message board?

Come on, buddy. If you insist on trolling over here, at least try a little bit.

Yeah, beating Penn State, #6 Louisville, and #5 Baylor on the road really hurt UCF's image. I'm just glad we didn't have McNeese St and FAU to overcome on our schedule.

Not national by a long way, maybe feels that way in the Orlando-Oveido-Sanford area.

People still confuse UCF with USF as much now as when USF routinely stomped mudholes into UCF.
