Just off the top of my head any discussion regarding Coach O's ability as a recruiter within a thread about a prospect would get moved to an Off Topic thread.

That wasn't an attack at over-moderation. I'm generally for it, even if it's questionable when you move Bullwinkle's or some UCF troll content. Or merge similar threads. It keeps garbage out of my way.

 

If I start a "Publix Digressions" thread will the moderation team start merging this drivel into it? If there's a crowd that wants to read it, fine. For this particular thread, I want my unsubstantiated rumors .

USF gains AAU membership by being the only university to successfully research on:

1. WHat makes Publix subs SO GOOD

2. What makes Publix fried chicken SO FREAKING AWESOME.

3. The controversial move to remove the sandwich press

 

Topic 3 (and the resulting media coverage/leaks behind it) leads to Publix to reinstate the sandwich press.

Research results of topics 1 & 2 help create new mind-blowing subs/chicken recipes.  This leads to exponentially increased sales at Publix.  As their token of thanks, they help build USF a 75k retractable roof stadium which includes a full Publix deli. 

Their offer of 1 free sub per ticket causes sellouts.

 

This leads to USF receiving offers to join the B10, B12, SEC and ACC.

 

Publix builds a dedicated deli inside the Athletics Center, which leads to USF recruiting highly rated student athletes for all sports.

USF decides to go the Independent route and ends up winning consecutive national titles.

 

The SEC begins to accuse USF of unfair recruiting tactics.

I think "the Great 8" is a Napoleonic nom de plume. More like "The Tragic 3" Dem dat gots it, ain't gotta shout about it. As usual, the little weinie sub is offered in 6 or 12 inch length
