i don't think you'll ever see a, "P5 play P5 only".  The antitrust lawyers would be all over that.

i don't think you'll ever see a, "P5 play P5 only".  The antitrust lawyers would be all over that.

 

I don't know why the P5 coaches would ever want to do that anyway.  Some coaches keep their jobs by getting to bowl eligibility on wins off non-P5 schools.

You also take out the Cinderella aspect, a huge part of why people tune in.

That's nothing new.. That still leaves them three games against the Savannah States of the world.. 

 

This .... I would be shocked if very many SEC teams didn't have at least one "BCS" team on their occ schedule in recent memory. Make 2 mandatory and listen to the squawking.

Bottom half of P5 won't get bowl eligible playing only P5 so they will oppose.

The bowls themselves would change.  If the P5 aren't playing non-P5 teams OOC they wont be playing them in bowl games.  That would be like seeing an FCS team in a bowl game now

They changed them from 6-5 to 6-6, and then 6-7, for UCLA.
