If they add more schools and nothing else changes, then yes.

 

It's unlikely that it would happen that way.

Because Fox and/or ESPN would add $$$ to at least partially make up the difference if not entirely.

 

They would do that if the lack of a CCG keeps them out of the four team playoff, which appears to be more and more likely.  Really, it would be kind of funny if the AAC had a better chance to get their champion into the four team playoff than the Big 12.  But the Big 12 would expand before they let that happen.
