Breaking News.... B12 to offer BYU and UCF football memberships. Texas got their butts handed to them by BYU and now want them in the conference. USF expected to be invited if conference expands to 150 teams.

This is my worst nightmare. UCF goes (maybe with Cincinnati) and we are left behind. Not saying it will happen, but up until about 2 years ago it wasn't believable, now it is a very realistic possibility.

Talk about an unmitigated disaster scenario. I'm not going to get worked up about it at this point, but if USF was ahead of UCF last year, we are still this year

Eh. I look at as more of a name drop. Like "Central Florida" could have been easily replaced for the purposes of the article and no one would have batted an eye if it said like "South Florida."

Not to give this any undue credibility, but it would be a coup de grace to us that we'd likely never recover from, if it happened exactly like that.

I have heard elsewhere - don't ask where, I don't remember - about the possibility of Luck taking over as Texas AD. Surely he would be aware of the benefits of USF in the B12 more so than UCF.

Don't believe it.  Oliver Luck is fully aware of what USF brings as opposed to UCF, with USF having faced WVU in some epic battles.
