If Tulane and Memphis left, we needed to go as well. With them staying, turning down the PAC is an acceptable move.

Memphis, Tulane and USF all received offers to join the Pac-12 on Monday before choosing to stay with the AAC, according to Stewart Mandel of The Athletic. Per Mandel, an option to join the conference in only football and basketball was presented.

They did repost The American's post about the decision but as of this post USF has not shared a post like the following that Tulane, UTSA, and Memphis all had ready to go.

Might just be a coincidence, but might be something afoot???
