agreed but… easier said than done, for the reasons listed.

they dont want us to beat them just like we didnt want Florida Central to beat us when we were in the Big East.

in-state games between good G5 teams & mid P4 teams always run the risk of being competitive.

tonight was a B-tier G5 team against an S-tier P4 team & we had every opportunity to win until the 4th quarter & we burnt ourselves as much as they burnt us

I am astounded by your memory (or your ability to fast forward the YouTube video to a specific spot and then re-tell the drama here).  Seriously, you appear to have a recall like none other than Jim Louk (and he may look at notes, we just don't know).  Sorry Jim.  

I hope you have grandkids you can share the glory days with. LOL.

They are unlikely to get the auto bid, but a best of the rest G5 conference with OSU, WSU, Boise State, San Diego State... + the best of the AAC would have an incredible advantage over other group of 5 conferences to the point it will almost become automatic. That's assuming Tulane and Memphis make the jump.

Also dont think it would lock us in since all the PAC teams as well as Tulane and Memphis have ACC or Big 12 aspirations. From what i have read its a sticking point as they are still negotiating.

I was a really big fan at one time, not as big as you were but I took it more seriously then I should have.  Either way, not a grandfather yet, but expect to be one in the next few years, god willing.  A good memory is a blessing and a curse, especially remembering Ryan Giddens on a 4th and 30 ish  against UConn had a hands to the face automatic first down when they rushed two which extended the drive for the loss. Only way to lose and we found a way, painful.  He doesn’t do that and the game is over

this game is full of guys that played with & against eachother since high school, middle school, pop warner. Miami is going to be competitive with us even on years theyre ass. & even on years theyre ass they will still have more 5 & 4 star talent at every position than we do. thats the difference between the ACC & AAC.

USF is still a team with maybe 2 or 3 skill guys on each side of the ball that would crack a solid P4 roster. 

it really takes all the stars to align for a G5 Florida school to beat one of the Big 3. the fact that we’ve done it twice is amazing, but both of those wins came as member of the Big East when the gap wasnt quite as wide.

i think he means that we haven't played them since 2013 and this is the first year since then that they've had a top 10 team.

I think the magic and talent  Leavitt has been gone for over a decade. The players getting to the pros post leavitt compared to his ERA is proof alone not to mention the results department.
