The odds to win a national championship 1/134 technically.

The pac9 idea would give you a 1/9 chance to win the conference.  The committee may or may not respect the conference enough to give them the g5 automatic bid. In other words it is just like the aac without a media deal, more travel cost, and sign a gor. I'm going to say

I agree although I can be persuaded if it ends up being a favorable financial and logistical deal for USF. Just haven't seen enough to suggest it will be. I do know it'll only happen if it makes sense to USF leadership, which I anticipate would take a conservative approach on a decision this big.

The committee doesn’t choose anymore in the 12 team configuration.

The playoff is the 5 highest ranked conference champions, and then the next 7 simply go to the highest ranked teams.

The five highest-ranked conference champions and the next seven highest-ranked teams will earn a spot in the 12-team bracket. There is no limit to how many teams from one conference can qualify. The rules also don't guarantee spots for certain conferences.

Um, doesn't the Committee rank the teams ...?

**** ! You are right.

Still would be unlikely and hamstrung MWC and AAC ever have a higher ranking conference champion than the new PAC-12 that includes USF, Memphis, and Tulane.

I always like the phrase keeping up when everyone is running toward a cliff.

At least in this scenario your suffering ends when you run off the cliff, and you get a moment of the most pure fear and adrenaline rush right before it ends. BRB, going find a cliff in Florida.

I don’t think many of us are grasping the true consequences of not going ( if Memphis and Tulane go) and if we even have a say.  Our league is trash like, without them it becomes a raging dumpster fire.  Many of you joked about joining the sun belt, well we would actually be doing that.  This is not even a decision, it is like having the in laws over for the holidays, I would rather not but do I really even have a choice?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
