I don't think I've seen a single post in these almost 4500 pages that I agree with more completely than this. Top to bottom.

I just made a post about putting more cherries on ice cream.  That one was pretty solid too.

Every one of those programs (except maybe Houston) showed up at conference games in a big way.  Be the best of where you are.

This is one thing we have probably never done is capitalize on big opportunities outside of a couple splash games.  Other teams like Memphis actually beat FSU on the road.  Fake Disney Nattys won the Peach Bowl and our biggest bowl game was the Sun Bowl.

We have ended seasons ranked which speaks to something.  Not lately though.

I think for USF a lot will depend on what happens with ACC. If they do follow up with a deal that keeps FSU/ Clemson and kicks the can to 2030 or 2031. Then USF can’t afford to be left out if Tulane and Memphis move, because that will mean that we aren’t getting any invites from anyone until 2030 at earliest. So we need to be in the best conference, with vest access at CFP so we can continue to grow and look good for expansion. Falling into a depleted AAC and being blocked out from CFP in most years because the PAC champion is taking that spot will put us at a disadvantage

My only gripe is cherries aren't good on ALL TYPES of ice cream. Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate? Sure, no doubt. Mint chocolate chip? Eh. A coffee gelato? Probably not.

On my favorite (Jenny's Brambleberry crisp)? Could go either way.

So I'm like 90% with you.

The more I think about and read about this I do not like it. Our TV exposure, ease-of-travel (which will eventually catch up to players and impact wins, and also impacts fan experience as we have more alumni in Philly and NC than in Pullman, WA), and future prospects all tell my gut that we should sit tight.

Logic would seem to be that USF can’t go without Memphis and Tulane but Tulane and Memphis could certainly go without USF. Not buying it’s a 3 way package.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
