The only eggs USF has put into any baskets is to make as USF as attractive as they can to any better conference ..... unless there's something out there we haven't seen.

Well said. How can people not understand this concept?? I don’t get it. It is driving me insane lol. The sky is falling because the MWC became the PAC who was outperformed by the AAC over the last two decades…,

How can you assume that the AAC is not going to add more teams?

They were not outperformed by THIS AAC over the past two decades. Also, calling the new conference that just took 4 of the top 5 programs from another conference the 2.0 version of the prior conference is lazy and dumb, especially if that same conference takes 3 of the 4 top teams from another conference. I understand that nothing has happened, yet, and there is no need for us as fans to panic, but the level of delusion that I see out of some commentators is astounding.

ACC may be back on offense. I mentioned this before that we may eventually see Utah jump from big 12 since they are not locked in

When was the last MWC to make the CFP? Heck what about last time they won a NY6 bowl? Tulane would have been in the CFP a few seasons ago. AAC has held its own over the years. The proof is seeing all these schools get poached from the AAC to the power conferences,

You play the hand that is dealt. If a chance to be in the best conference not named B1G, SEC, B12, and ACC comes around you take it. If the ACC or another opportunity arrives as well, then you take that too. But the division is coming soon in FBS and USF has done its best (not you Jeff Scott) in last few years to at least position itself to be on right side of the line. Don't forget TCU and Boise were going to be apart of the reformed BIG EAST but they got out, no harm no foul on their end.

You are using a strawman argument here. The fact of the matter is that the best programs from the AAC have all moved on. If Memphis and Tulane were to leave as well the new PAC isn't the MWC 2.0. If you want to disparage it to make yourself feel better if USF gets left behind, have at it. Taking the top teams from two leagues does not leave the remnants in a better position. There is no amount of rationalizing or mental gymnastics that changes that fact. I will say that losing Tulane, Memphis, and UTSA won't be as painful as losing SMU, Houston, Cincy, UCF, and UCONN, but it would still put USF in a worse position than we currently are, which seems to be the only constant in all of this conference realignment.

Think this is a good take. And yes USF is looking out for themselves 1st & foremost. I trust Prez Rhea, WW, and MK to lead USF to the best possible outcome.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
