If conference record were an accurate gauge of who is desirable and who isn't, Syracuse would be in the MAC. USF is an undervalued asset. Any one with half their brain tied behind their back could figure that out.

I'm sure their 5 Big East football titles didn't hurt.

I doubt Boise does. They bent the MWC over when they "returned". Took more money than the other MWC schools, kept rights to their home games and a cut of TV money as well for bowls. SDSU I can see because they didnt get that deal.

If Boise wants back in, then they know something about impending realignment that the rest of us aren't privy to.

JTrue loves to talk crap about our conference record, but let me ask you JTrue: What were our overall records from 2005-2010? (We all know how we did in 2011-2012)

And don't try to spin your BS. List the overall records of USF Football from 2005-2010

... else it would be like paddling your rowboat back to the Titanic because you think they had nice music.

I still think the AAC and the MWC merge and finally do the Areseco thing, like I've been hoping.

If there is scuttlebutt about the P5 becoming the P4 eventually, wouldn't it stand to reason the two conferences merged would (could) become the "fifth" conference? As unrealistic as it seems now, I'd still like to see the AAC and MWC merge and form their own division.

For those who care about being on the "inside", I think the two conferences merged together might be the last chance to get on the boat.

I hope the AAC and MWC come to their senses, merge and form one conference.

You realize that in your example, you just put USF Athletics on the Titanic, listening to that nice music,

I sort of agree with your example, but it can't be all of the AAC and MWC. There is no place for Tulane at the big boys table. Now if you made a conference out of the "best of the rest" it might be able to talk about deserving a seat at the table.

Why don't you just get to your point so I don't have to guess? Is it that we should be in the ACC over Syracuse or Louisville?

It depends how many teams are needed to keep up I think, Mike. Currently, there are 12 teams in the WMC and 10 in the AAC. 16 is the magic number everyone is talking about now is talking about now, right?

Playing musical chairs, looking at the teams available, what do you think a "super" AAC & MWC conference should look like?

- USF

- UCF

- Air Force

- Colorado St.

- Boise

- Fresno

- San Diego

- Cincy

- UCONN

- Houston

- SMU

- Navy

- Memphis

- Temple

- ECU

- Tulsa

I could live with this conference

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
