Puc is great. However I think this thread probably blew his mind. I was taking it as easy with the USF to the ACC rumors. Thanfully I have not got too much into the USF to the big ten rumors yet…..

So I could see it working in football. But how to you make all the Olympic sports work?

The problem is not "stability" it's geography.

In the AAC we are already travelling to Tulsa, North Texas, and UTSA. At least  in men's basketball playing San Diego State and  Colorado State would help our sos.

Can always play a few games on a neutral court, or combine games when going out West.  Its something we are already doing.

Olympic sports are important but football and men's basketball are king.

Memphis is probably going to end up in the big 12. I never saw them as a good fit for the ACC. Besides, USF has survived greater losses than losing Memphis for crying out loud.

You are looking at it wrong, bigger losses at the beginning with more suitable replacement options while definitely bigger losses are still less impactful. The AAC has nowhere to go as demonstrated by its call ups and the dissipating options. A loss of anyone else of value is the absolute end, to try to wait it out here is to doom your program to an eternity of being othered and anyone that can get out will. Except maybe us because VPMK has a 5 year plan to finally be considered in the mix using a throw away clause that always just means Notre Dame.

You are conveniently leaving out the eastern teams to help your argument. I’m here to help point that out…

In case you were wondering. No Escalators UConn fan is a nut. I remember him when UCONN  was in the AAC. He was shocked when USF made March Madness after he spent tons of time ripping USF. Basically he is some troll that I just laugh at. Funny at times but all too predictable.

I agree, he can be toolish...got to admit though, nothing in that specific tweet was inaccurate...unfortunately....

Feel free to post all of them, if it were a separate thread it would not take up a page

I could buy your argument if we were talking about the old PAC. But we are basically talking about the MWC 2.0 who have been outperformed by the AAC

Well yeah it kind of was if you recall USF was conference mates with UAB, Charlotte, ECU back in the C-USA days. Besides our Big East conference mates are not dead they are just on to better conferences lol. USF is going to get there eventually imo

None of the AAC you are talking about is actually in the AAC anymore, what you mean to compare is the left over PAC, the best of the MWC and what will be some of the top of the AAC vs CUSA two years ago and us. That is not a very tough comparison no matter how deluded you could be.
