A storm descends on a small town, and the downpour soon turns into a flood. As the waters rise, the local preacher kneels in prayer on the church porch, surrounded by water. By and by, one of the townsfolk comes up the street in a canoe.

"Better get in, Preacher. The waters are rising fast."

"No," says the preacher. "I have faith in the Lord. He will save me."

Still the waters rise. Now the preacher is up on the balcony, wringing his hands in supplication, when another guy zips up in a motorboat.

"Come on, Preacher. We need to get you out of here. The levee's gonna break any minute."

Once again, the preacher is unmoved. "I shall remain. The Lord will see me through."

After a while the levee breaks, and the flood rushes over the church until only the steeple remains above water. The preacher is up there, clinging to the cross, when a helicopter descends out of the clouds, and a state trooper calls down to him through a megaphone.

"Grab the ladder, Preacher. This is your last chance."

Once again, the preacher insists the Lord will deliver him.

And, predictably, he drowns.

A pious man, the preacher goes to heaven. After a while he gets an interview with God, and he asks the Almighty, "Lord, I had unwavering faith in you. Why didn't you deliver me from that flood?"

God shakes his head. "What did you want from me? I sent you two boats and a helicopter."

Sounds good but you are forgetting one thing. The PAC/WAC is requiring the schools to sign a GOR agreement to join. Are you suggesting that MK should burn our bridges with the ACC by signing on with the PAC/WAC?  Look I would hate to see USF play most their games in the pacific time zone. It would basically cripple the USF athletic department. That is the reality that you are not even mentioning

At least going outside or maybe perhaps seeing what we can proposition people with for a little action. Everyone has already exhibited what kind of girl they are we just need to figure out the right price for their services. In the land of the whores we need to do whatever it takes to carve out our corner. It  would be easier to swallow the impossibly of the situation if we weren’t throwing money chasing the dragon and hadn’t proven ourselves as earners in the past. Now let’s put away the Kleenex get back in there and get our **** wet again. Sure we may get some stds along the way but if you can cure it with a pill or shot then it doesn’t count.

All contracts are breakable and no one left in the aac had any idea who VPMK is, no one. If anyone cared about him at all they would have offered him a job at this point but yet he remains here burning us to the ground

Pretty much the reality of it right now lol. But I guess what I trying to portray is for all the chicken littles to settle the F down. Stay calm. In reality, USF is on the rise and will probably beat the #8 team in the country in a sold out RJS on national tv. Plenty of ACC reps will be there and you can bet your ass that they will be impressed. Abandoning  the ACC path at this point by signing a GOR with the PAC/WAC is something that a messed up crackhead would do imo..

Ok I get it you are right back to your hate with MK. This pretty much destroys your argument or points. USF is finally winning in both revenue sports and has an OCS on the way under MK’s watch. Yet you are trying to say MK is the reason USF is not in a power conference. Do you see how bad the argument looks???

Do we have any confirmed bridges putting USf in the ACC , Pac6, B1G, SEc, B12, or any other conference ? No it is all smoke and mirrors. The biggest moves just announced it when it was a done deal such SEC with TAmu , missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. The big just announced it when it was a done deal.  The acc didn't seem to whine and demand more except FSU and Clemson. I am sure they were behind the scenes in all conferences determining who brings the best bang for their buck. We have a  chance in the next three games to prove we deserve to put our name in some hats and hope our name gets seleted. If there ever was a chance to dig deep and find some Big East magic in the bottle type run the time is now during the next three games.

Calls for calm and staying the course can’t be measured in decades, its revolution time. If the ACC wanted anything to do with us they would have picked us up and not smu, yet here we still stand. Who was the big connected person at smu? Give them a call before signing with whomever and see if they even pick up the phone. Sure I can understand an argument for independence which will always have a special place in my heart but no one in a conference like what will be left of the aac is ever getting called up to anywhere. We can’t stay in purgatory forever and at sometime we need to push in our chips and find out our fate.
