If USF is a target for the ACC than Memphis  and Tulane are ACC targets as well. Perhaps even more so.

I think many might be overestimating our desirability right now when it comes to the ACC

Think this will change after this weekend……..

Looking more and more like Memphis and Tulane might be heading for PAC. I hope we don’t get caught waiting for a better offer that might not come any time soon.

So what happens after they lose to Miami this weekend. Again. Thinking a conference is gonna a come running and begging us to join over ONE game is delusional. We thought we were gonna beat day last year and you saw what happened there.

Aren't you the one that has been pushing to go independent or just fold the program. i forget.

Serious question though, what are the cons of going independent? Scheduling difficulty? I imagine we'd have an easier time getting people to play in Tampa than most other places...

Can't wait for my USF gear to become obsolete. vaporwear

Yes I’ve always said since our brothers in the BEAST abandoned us we were better off alone than continuing to bring in bodies for the sake of bodies. Everyone called up has positive momentum on their side, which is a lot better than perpetual free fall. I’d still rather be independent than in this crap but we have a lot harder row to hoe now. Either way we are led by the people with the least fortitude for this in the entire nation.

Not even thinking of the negative scenario as I do believe USF wins this weekend at home. They are beyond due for a breakout win. So after USF wins I expect to see USF in the top 25. I expect to see USF to be in the CFP conservations. I expect USF to be the front runner to win the AAC. Call it delusional but that is just how my positive mindset works. Go Bulls!!

Student-athletes are the ones paying the price of college greed. I hope that someday the super conference trend towards more money will collapse under its own weight and we can go back to more traditional geographic alignments. Either that or student-athletes form a nationwide union and start demanding some of this paper the schools are making.

Anybody who's been on here for any length of time should have already grasped this about you ..... and it's perfect that this post  immediately follows one by the Bizarro Matrix.

No guarantees the pac8 would be any better payouts especially factoring in cross country travel for all sports. The AAC needed an aggressive commssioner like pac instead of the guy we currently have that wants a g5 playoff.  It isn't worth signing a GOR for long term unless there is more money involved. I hate be left behind in the AAC again and I would actually support going independent then staying in a aac without Memphis and Tulane. We have some three-headed alliance that is probably worthless and no actual real reports confirming they are leaving.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
