Aren't you the one that has been pushing to go independent or just fold the program. i forget.

Serious question though, what are the cons of going independent? Scheduling difficulty? I imagine we'd have an easier time getting people to play in Tampa than most other places...

Can't wait for my USF gear to become obsolete. vaporwear

Would never be a highest ranked group of 5 conference champion and thus no automatic playoff spot

Would have less meaningful games on the schedule since a conference championship would never be on the line

You gotta think Memphis and Tulane are thinking "what will the AAC be without USF" with the idea that USF might be a target by the ACC in the next year or two.

But seriously! Stop this nonsense. AAC won’t be losing any schools to the PAC. There is not enough money in it for anyone to leave what now is the best G5 conference to play in games out west that start at around 10pm on the east coast. Make it make sense lol.  AAC may end up adding AFA & UNLV when all is said & done.

Now this I can understand. Maybe they are pushing rumors out there about the PAC to hopefully force ACC’s hand to hurry & make move already

If USF is a target for the ACC than Memphis  and Tulane are ACC targets as well. Perhaps even more so.

I think many might be overestimating our desirability right now when it comes to the ACC

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
