I would prefer the new PAC, simply because smaller conferences are better. Means that you play the same teams every year and that leads to real rivalries.

I don't know why they would keep the number 12... it used to be 8 and then 10. Just ditch the friggin number.

Aren't you the one that has been pushing to go independent or just fold the program. i forget.

 

Serious question though, what are the cons of going independent? Scheduling difficulty? I imagine we'd have an easier time getting people to play in Tampa than most other places...

It would be funny if the ACC suddenly added USF and Memphis before Memphis joins the PAC12; wouldn’t that basically end the PAC12’s hope for a better media deal than the MWC’s? Really, the ACC should do this immediately to not only end another conferences opportunity but to save their own butts.
