I dont buy the "if FSU leaves the ACC that we are guaranteed a spot" in the ACC thing.

It helps us but there are no guarantees

If Memphis and Tulane go to the Pac, and we are invited as well; it would be foolish (in my opinion) to just think that the ACC is  guaranteed for us and that we are too good for the PAC. It would also be foolish ( imo) to think that a depleted AAC without UConn, Cincy, UCF, Houston, SMU, Memphis, and Tulane would be a better place to be than the new PAC.

This is a fair argument.  Ideally we would want NuPAC to have a favorable exit clause to bail and go to the ACC if and when it opens up.  Which is probably what is being argued over right now.  They want stability but then they need Nevada or someone like that to sign their life away.

If the PAC can provide more money; then we take it (as long as we aren't tied to a GoR).

As this may be the spring board to get us into the ACC (or even the B1G if we can dominate the opportunity).

What we don't want is to be left behind again, or these major investments will HURT.

Are GoR deals even a good idea for the conferences? Seems like you just get sued when a team wants out. If college football is to be saved (ie remains interesting for everyone and not just ~30 teams) we need promotion/relegation regional conferences.

Yea, you would think OSU, WSU, San Diego State, Boise State would not want a GOR since I have to imagine that these teams have ACC/ Big 12 aspirations as well.

For those of you who think the ACC is going to fall apart - then you shouldn't think too highly of any other conference's GoR's then because they're all written by the same attorneys with the same considerations and language, etc.

What would our capacity be if it were in the OCS (35,000)?

We're a bit hamstrung by using 65,000 of RJS. What if you used the 41,000 of the lower bowl?

This. If you add a baseline capacity to the chart of 41K then USF would be at 90%. That would only be behind Virginia (100%) and Louisville (117%) and just ahead of Georgia Tech (88%). Georgia State would be worst of the teams on the list (18%). Temple would be worst in the AAC (34%). Duke would be the worst in the ACC (47%). In other words, the list as-is doesn't really say much other than how empty a stadium looks I guess.

What if you count just lower level for them?

Not sure how many seats are in their lower level, but I calculated using their 13,945 avg attendance divided by the 41K baseline total capacity. Must look pretty dang sparse for Temple on home game days. After this coming Saturday, USF should not be in any low attendance stats lists the rest of this season. 🙂🤘

That must be lower level. The Linc holds more that 41k, closer to 70k.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
